Materials and Processes available

PLA

Easy-to-print, biodegradable, stiff, and dimensionally accurate, but brittle and heat-sensitive.

 

  • Tensile strength: ~50–70 MPa
  • Elongation at break: 4–10% (brittle)
  • Heat resistance (HDT): 50–60 °C
  • Density: ~1.24 g/cm³
  • Surface: Glossy, smooth 

 

     Notes: Great for models & prototypes; poor for          functional, heat-exposed parts                 

 

PETG 

Tough, semi-flexible, chemical/moisture resistant; bridges gap between PLA and ABS.

 

  • Tensile strength: ~50–60 MPa
  • Elongation at break: 15–25% (tougher, less brittle than PLA)
  • Heat resistance (HDT): 70–80 °C
  • Density: ~1.27 g/cm³
  • Surface: Slightly glossy,

 

  Notes: Good balance of strength, flexibility, and chemical resistance; outdoor-friendly

 

ABS

Strong, impact-resistant, better heat tolerance

 

  • Tensile strength: ~40–50 MPa
  • Elongation at break: 10–20%
  • Heat resistance (HDT): 90–105 °C
  • Density: ~1.04 g/cm³
  • Surface: Matte, sandable, can be smoothed with acetone vapor

 

Notes: Durable and machinable; best for functional/structural parts

Nylon

Strong, flexible, wear-resistant

 

  • Tensile strength: ~60–80 MPa
  • Elongation at break: 50–300% (high flexibility)
  • Heat resistance (HDT): ~70–100 °C
  • Density: ~1.14 g/cm³
  • Surface: Tough, slightly rough, matte

 

Notes: Excellent for gears, hinges, wear parts

Flexable - TPU

Flexible, rubber-like, abrasion-resistant, excellent for seals, gaskets, and shock absorption.

 

  • Tensile strength: ~30–55 MPa
  • Elongation at break: 400–600% (very stretchy)
  • Heat resistance (HDT): ~60–80 °C
  • Density: ~1.2 g/cm³
  • Surface: Flexible, rubbery feel, smooth finish

 

Notes: Great for functional flexible parts
